I am using an Android phone, and I do not want to install Facebook, Instagram, or a few other apps. However, sometimes I find myself wanting to install these apps, so I would like to know if there is any way I can block them.
Set up NextDNS, enable parental control and restrict those platforms, then set it as your phone’s DNS?
Or if you use stock roms, just create a “kid” account and use Google’s parental control features.
To add to this, I’d also use the web versions as much as possible even though they may not be as usable.
I agree with using the web versions over the apps, you can do almost everything that you can on the app. I actually like how unusable some features on the web versions are, keeps me from staying on certain social media webpages for too long.
