I hear a lot of conflicted things about self-hosting email, some people say it’s super difficult and never worth it because you’ll need constant maintenance and half your emails won’t go through. Wanted to continue a conversation here from @Parish2555 I think for self hosting, there is the initial burden of even setting up the home server, then there is the burden and criticality of the software in question. If I run SearXNG, and it goes down, it’s not a big deal. But things like Nextcloud require significant more risk in downtime.
