I’ve been using Rethink DNS for quite a while and have decided to use Orbot as proxy. Should I set it as HTTP or TCP Proxy?
Either is fine. From Rethink’s PoV, both are functionally pretty much the same.
Ideally, you’d experiment and use whichever one is stable on your network (I find myself selecting TCP proxy more often as it appears before the HTTP entry in the dropdown/bottomsheet).

What apps would you recommend to select, like the google ones?
Don’t have any recommendations, per se. Unsure if others here do, may be someone will share.
I usually only set a few messaging apps (like SimpleX / FairEmail) & Browser (Firefox Focus) to route through it (though, some may prefer the Tor Browser), when I do use it. Mostly I prefer things go over WireGuard (ex: one that we run ourselves, Amnezia, and Proton).
