Recommended calendar app with sharing with GSuite family member

Hello,
I would like to have a shared calendar with a family member that uses GSuite, but I would like my calendar app / provider to be outside of the GSuite.
Is there any privacy centered calendar app / provider that can view + edit a calendar from GSuite via iCal address / any other way? Currently in Proton Calendar they only allow to view without edit from google.
Another feature I would like but is not a dealbreaker is an android app

There are some options but please keep in mind that I haven’t personally used them to sync with GSuite. Having a shared calendar isn’t really privacy friendly regardless of the app installed.

Zoho claims that they respect your privacy and rely less on ads/data sharing. I don’t particularly trust them compared to Proton but they could be a good non-Google option that allows for two-way syncing.

If you self-host, NextCloud Calendar could be another option. You would need an app like DAVx⁵ for this one though.

Not an expert, but I do have calendars.

If is vital that they share from Google calendar.

If you have a Google account, DAVx⁵ does have a Google-specific login that will make any calendar app (etar or w/e) work just fine, usually without hiccups.

Google doesn’t quite support CardDAV though, so without a Google account there are some janky workarounds, but reliable 2 way sync with a source calendar in Google calendar requires a Google account to link to as far as I’ve found.

DAVx⁵ will also allow you to sync any other calDAV providers into the same calendar, I used an iCloud account for a while since it has proper calDAV support.

First of all thank you, I’m searching to find out more about Zoho, and if it won’t be my solution, I’m definitely willing to start working my way to more self-hosted stuff.
And yes, I do realize it is far from perfect, and I wish I could make more people around me care and be aware of privacy concerns, until then, I’m am trying to minimize my presence in corporate surveillance companies. I figured having a calendar that would allow me to have my own private stuff, and also still have some sort of connection to my family and community would be the lesser evil.

I’m willing to keep a google account just for using as some sort of proxy, if that is what it means, I assume it would require sharing the calendar with that google account and then using DAVx5 to forward it to etar?

Yes, I don’t know of another way to 2-way sync a google calendar that doesn’t require a google account.

Syncing with DAVx5 does not require google play services, but does contact google for oauth and for the calDAV syncing itself.
