I am now on the Tech Support Discord, and they are recommending I buy a Raspeery Pi knock off, for very cheap so I can run the adguard service, and then I need to set the routter to use the ip address of the ‘SBC’
@Sprout3425 thats yet another possibility, yes. Although it requires good level of know-how, because all the maintanance burden is on you.
I meant this when I recommended bypassing Windows11 box.
@Sprout3425 (down) please read between the lines
What do you recommend, again? The easiest solution, with good power efficiency, I don’t want to waste power. Remember my router doesn’t support a lot of things.
Are you sure you meant past tense?
Kind of, I have made an edit to make it more clear.
Thanks for claryfing
What do I recommend? Buying RaspBerry (as recommended on Discord). It will bypass your Windows11 box.
Ok, thanks. I will probs do it. Wdym by box?
Box == computer. Cause usually it’s in a box like shape. But usually people refer to boxes as the wide range of mini computers you can buy.
This place has a Discord?
No, there’s only a PG matrix space. They’re probably referring to the tech support discord @Sprout3425 mentioned a little bit up in the thread
Dont know. I was referring to one of previous replies made by @Sprout3425
Don’t think so, I was referring to the Tech support discord
I was told I didn’t need OpenWRT for adguard home on a rasperyr pi knock off, just realised your from the matrix chat. In any case thanks for the help everyone, I think I have made my decision I will order a rasperry pi knock off of Ali express
No, you don’t
Thanks @wojciechxtx you are a legend and your willingness to help is unparalleled.
Once I get the Rasperry Pi, my next issue will be how to configure the damn thing, and how to see if I can change the DNS on my router. Until that day comes, we are all good for now.
Sure, no problem. Just ping me once you get your RPi
I was referring to you. Why are you so worried about your DNS logs?
DNS is convenient, makes my internet faster, blocks malicious domains, trackers and ads. Who wouldn’t want DNS at the network level?
How does it make your internet faster???
