Firstly, one part of Startpage’s description of the feature says:
No website cookies or trackers
while another says:
If you use tools that block ads and scripts, you may notice that trackers and cookies are still fully operational in Anonymous View. No worries.
How does Startpage simultaneously block and allow trackers and cookies?
Secondly, can Anonymous View really stop (naive) fingerprinting? The feature’s proprietary, and I don’t see a lot of documentation as to how the anti-fingerprinting works. I also haven’t heard very many people use Anonymous View day-to-day, so I don’t really know if I would blend in with that big of a crowd. It seems like Anonymous View could possibly make me stand out even more, compared to if I just used a browser with built in fingerprinting protections.
