PSA: App updates in Accrescent are currently broken

This PSA is quite late. My version of IronFox was 3 weeks out of date. Better late than never I suppose.

Make sure you get your app updates elsewhere for the time being.

Good advice in general. Accrescent clearly isn’t ready for prime-time, which is why we don’t tell people to use it yet.

Accrescent is in alpha, so while I can potentially understand some of the benefits behind its design it will currently always come with caveats. For example, right now Accrescent is re-writing some of the logic for the app to resolve critical discovered bugs. As a result new versions of apps uploaded to Accrescent do not show in the app.

They posted an update on Matrix about the situation:

The servers were deployed a few weeks ago. However, our next app update had unexpected bugs, delaying its release.

As a result, updates for all apps have been delayed since. We apologize for the delay and hope to resolve it by the end of the week. Thank you for your patience!
