Short description

Proton Meet the video conferencing tool of Proton is out of Beta and now available to all users, even without an account.

Why I think this tool should be added

It is a (free!) open source video call solution with MLS end to end encryption on modern infrastructure (LiveKit).

Proton Meet can be used for a limited length for free even without anyone registering. A free meeting can be started by anyone and invites go via a secure link including the key.

This should be a no-brainer. Swift addition to the website would be great to see.

I’m quite annoyed that they paywall local recordings of the meetings, even Proton Unlimited subscribers don’t get access, despite not having any associated ongoing cost.

Definitely still worth recommending though.
