A question can anyone recommend the best private note. From what I understand people are using these to send messages on apps like signal and don’t know the source of the private note.
From my basic knowledge you could be using a private note that is compromised and sending this message in a safe encrypted app. So compromising the app ?

Signal’s self destructing messages feature works well. There are many other options you can use. Bitwarden Send is another option I believe.
What exactly are your looking for and for what purpose? More recommendations for it may depend on it.
An example of what I’m asking about is Privnote, it’s a web based version. It’s open source but how do we know it’s safe and isn’t compromising the encryption of an app like signal ?
Everyone lies and everything is compromised, except for the apps you personally believe aren’t. If you don’t like Signal, then its encryption is flawed. And if you like Privnote, it’s not compromised.
It’s that easy. I mean, this is common knowledge.

PrivateBin should be an open source alternative to privnote if you enable the “Burn after reading” setting AFAIK.
