I’m currently looking for a LinkedIn alternative to showcase my specifications. I’ve noticed a lot of job listings has a section to fill in a LinkedIn profile, and honestly, Im trying to move away from the platform due to privacy concerns. I also just find the whole LinkedIn networking thing a bit awkward and cringy. I’ve also found that the job listings on company websites are a much better fit than using LinkedIn’s quick apply feature(which is really hard to get employed with).
What I’m really looking for is a private portfolio solution where I can showcase my skills and experience. Ideally, it would be like a combination of my resume and a personal blog. I’m planning to use this instead of constantly posting updates about my career on LinkedIn.
Specifically, I need a platform that offers link only access and I don’t want it to be indexed by search engines or crawled by internet archives since it’s likely going to include a lot of private information about myself. I’m considering options like a VPS for selfhosting, but I’m curious if there are any known, privacy focused services out there that offer similar functionality.
