Privacy friendly recommendations needed for screenwriting apps like FinalDraft for Linux

Title.

Basically, I am looking for screenwriting apps like FinalDraft but for Linux. I would prefer it if it were FOSS but it is not a dealbreaker.

Please share any and all that you may know about. Thanks!

From a couple of apps that I’ve looked through, Trelby might be your best bet, although it’s not as feature packed.

There’s also Scrite, but you need to build it from source to use it for free.

I am utterly unfamiliar with screenwriting apps. What are the nuanced differences from a simple note taking tool perspective?

I mean I do see how IDEs for programming are truly helpful but my imagination fails me on how screenwriting could be done in a regular word processor like LibreOffice Writer and MS Word?

FinalDraft, Manuskript and tools like it provide sections for chapters, characters, scenes and stuff like that. Making it essential tools for novels and the likes.
As someone who used to write novels a little, I’m surprised I did not know those tools exist on pc…
