Post the DNS queries from the last week that got past your browser's blockers

I’m using yokoffing’s DNS settings and HaGeZi Multi Pro++ on the DNS side. Browser, firewall and hosts blocking works pretty well.

So it’s just about queries from the browser.

227 blocked in a week? Thats… surprising. Mine is 400k per week. Nextdns free 300k quota would be depleted for me in less than a week. The internet are nasty with background noise crap.

Yep, it’s blocked well before it even gets to DNS!

But that 400k a week really sounds like it’s high time for a clean install and to get your security sorted out… Even my 20 devices don’t get anywhere near that.

edit. A router with phones, a couple of TVs, and about 15 other devices connected. I’d go crazy from all those queries.

edit2. Oops, the phone has its own and it’s only been 24h since I just reset it.

Yeah can’t really help it when its 8 phones, 2 laptop with most belongs to teenagers. When they do they stuff facebooking, instagramming, tiktokking, streaming netflix disney+, playing whatever games the hype nowadays the 400k/week seems reasonable still. In theory i can reduce that down further by flashing gos, installing linux etc but i don’t want to be an unofficial it technician working 247 for literal $0 to them. My dns adblock is a set and forget, does its job silently in the background protecting them.

I got the impression that number is just from your browser

My own browser are pretty locked down with ublock tuned to almost perfection. Can’t really see per device log on my dns server since i turned identifiable device logging off but leak from my browser reaching it should be low i guess.

A PC without browsers. The traffic must be pretty minimal..

I bought a couple of YubiKeys and I gotta say, my expectations were way higher, or maybe I just don’t know how to use them properly yet. First off, way too few sites even use passkeys. Secondly, it’s super annoying that you can’t temporarily disable backups in Proton Pass; it always shows everything when you log in, even when the key isn’t even plugged into the computer. Then I also don’t get why it’s constantly asking me to “confirm it’s you”. I thought it would simplify and speed things up, that as long as the key is plugged in, logging in would be a breeze, but nope. And on top of that, even if I’m already logged into a site, it kicks me out and I get the same “confirm…” message. The most ridiculous thing is that some sites only accept keys created with Chrome or Safari. I deleted my account right away when it didn’t work with Brave or Firefox. Looks like these YubiKeys are going straight into a drawer, and I’m going back to TOTP.

edit. I installed the Yubikey software and it turned out it didn’t actually work through the hub, so I’m taking back what I said.. Let’s try this again.

edit2. So it was user error after all..
