Opting out of Data Sharing/Collection

Hi again.

Just learned about this data sharing opt out resource - https://simpleoptout.com/. I’m wondering if there are any more resources to help with opting out of as much data collection/selling as possible, or if it is even worth the effort (can we trust they actually comply?).

Check out the Digital Exhaust Opt Out Guide For Law Enforcement from the FBI, designed to promote good practices inside Law Enforcement.

Note: it is extensive and has hundreds of websites and other references to research, so set aside quite a bit of free time for it, and enjoy.
