Hi Carl “Big Dong” Dong, moving forward, will new features be released to all stable platforms simultaneously, or when the respective devs get are able to implement them? E.g., split tunnelling, “pause” mode, potentially other future stuff like full DAITA. Obviously networking is different on every OS, so I’m wondering how you will handle updating the clients over time, since lately it seems like the iOS, macOS, and Android clients all pretty much release around the same time.
I think it all depends on if there are platform-specific parts of the feature, so we’ll have to do them case-by-case, but whenever possible we try to release features all in one go!
Yeah we just have the same version number for each, though features may be implemented platform-by-platform as needed!
Oh you can’t use Obscura with another VPN, that’s a fundamental conflict in the networking stack I think. So you’d have to turn Proton VPN off to use Obscura.
We should probably add a clearer error message for that though. Feel free to send a screenshot of what you see here, and we’ll get right on it! CC @davidcollini
It is a cool update. Still waiting for feature that selected specific entry and exit server (not countries such as exit with servers of Mullvad owner with 31173 provider).
I see that “We’re offering 25% off to all users with code WINDOWS26” . I would like to ask that discount forever (look like early subscription users with $6/month) or just discount for first payment? I am considering about the cost.
Thank you for your feedback. I does not see that information on the post of Obscura. Could you help me to give the link that say about 12 months discount? That will help me to get clear and more information.
Wow. A big update from 3 to 5 simultaneous device connections. But with me or someones the prices is consider with others such as NymVPN that is up to 5 hops with 5 differences provider ( including personal or sponsor nodes).
We’ve just been defaulting to a selection of exit nodes that we believe to have better IP reputation, though that’s always a moving target Will let you know when we have selection.
