Idk if I don’t get it but its not just those according to this:

Graphene OS and “the stock operating system” (Android, specifically the version preinstalled on your device) are operating systems, like Windows or iOS.
The long lists of supported devices are hardware models, like Microsoft Surface 2 or iPhone X.
It’s kind of like the difference between the driver and the car. Totally different, but complementary things.

We can change:

Currently, it only works with GrapheneOS and the device’s stock operating system.

To:

Currently, it only works with GrapheneOS or the stock operating system for supported devices.

That should make it more clear. What we’re saying is that for supported devices it does not work if you install a third-party ROM like DivestOS, it only works for the Stock ROM (and Graphene on Pixels).
