New Secure Darknet OS : Cyrethium

it release in last month

dude anyone try it ?

Their website looks like it was made with an LLM. I don’t see the point of this when there is tails.

Only one guy developping an entire secure distro :triangular_flag:

We have more trusted projects: whonix, tails and secure blue.

this OS can direct connect i2p , and set DNScrypt

Whonix can also use I2P in various ways, it just isn’t pre-configured out of the box and certain methods are considered experimental.

Cyrethium features two specially designed browsers: Hardened Firefox and Amnesic Firefox .

To be sure there’s no misunderstanding, their documentation affirms they don’t use the Tor Browser. A big concern for me is whether their browsers produce different fingerprints from the Tor Browser which I assume is likely.

I had a quick glance at its docs. It used to be called “Securonis Linux” and had to change its name because of trademark conflicts.

The entire documentation is full of ratings with a self-made system comparing its multiple Firefox variants in terms of security, fingerprinting protection, tracking protection, and various other metrics.

I stopped reading when I found this:

Use Amnesic Firefox when: whistleblowing or activism

Amnesic Firefox being their self developed Tor Browser “replacement”.

Avoid this distro

You’re such an obvious sock for root0emir(developer of this “os”). I really don’t believe anyone could just stumble on this “os”.
Also lines up with him posting his own 10/10 review on his own project on DistroWatch.com: Cyrethium . FireScorpion browser is peak naming btw
Or maybe i’m a shizo and you actually just a random dude?

90% of his site is written by ai i think

All these posts share the same bad English band-aided with LLM too
