Need a recommendation for an Open-Source App alternative to a proprietary "GPS Camera"

Im new to this forum, so here’s a short obligatory introduction :blush:;
I’m “Nexusmeter”, I’m somewhat of a ‘private’ individual, nothing too crazy(not wearing a tinfoil hat, I use Google apps time to time) With that said I have a general disdain and try to avoid insecure apps or apps asking too much permissions.

With that outta the way, I’ll get to the reason I’m here. I need a open source alternative to the app GPS Map Camera .
The alternative app should be able to:

  1. Stamp the name of the Location and co-ordinates of the place where the photo was taken. Even a manual location adding capability will do just fine.
  2. Add Latitude/Longitude, Date, UTC time stamp to the photo.

Help at the earliest would be much appreciated!

PS: I dont care about the metadata of the photo. I need the app to be able to stamp it on the photo, which when printed(on paper) would be visible to others.

I also didn’t find any, and honestly no one on this forum would want an app that tags all photos with location.

I need the app for a surveying project assigned to me. It’s not unreasonable to assert that someone may find an alternative foss app useful.

At any rate Open Camera does have a similar stamping functionality for lat/long, altitude etc. but for some reason it lacks a location stamping functionality . I’ve managed to build a python script that takes the exif data from the picture and stamps it in the image. So I’ll just go forward with that.

Consider this issue closed. :slightly_smiling_face:
