All of that should not happen all that much. If you want, change your DNS setting within the browser and have it use your VPNs or a non Mullvad DNS resolver. Mullvad is definitely hardened and is not ideal for everyday use but even then it’s not terrible to use for the most part.

I use it for going to random places on the web on its “medium” setting. Its fine enough as my daily browsing. For logged in accounts, I just use Brave. I don’t really mind the captcha. Its a small price to pay for a private and less ad infested internet.

I tend to daily drive firefox as I do have a few other extensions I like to use but outside of my main personal computer (ie work, travel etc) its my browser of choice.

It’s not a real setting called medium for you to turn on. Look at their GitHub docs to learn what the medium settings mean.

I use Mullvad Browser (with Mullvad VPN) as my default browser, mainly for general browsing, and Brave Browser (without Mullvad VPN) with separate profiles for logins. If I encounter the occasional broken website on Mullvad, I open it in Brave. My only issue with Mullvad is the default light mode - it’s a pain to look at even on low brightness - and I think the Dark Reader extension is not recommended?
