In the past month, there were three developers who opened threads under the Tool Suggestions category to showcase their project.
As outlined in this post, the Project Showcase category “is the only section in which you as a developer are allowed to promote your own projects.” However, this may not be clear to the developers who land on the front page of the forum for the first time, nor be the most intuitive when they append a tag to their first post on the forum showcasing their project.
As the title indicates, I suggest making a change to the front page / landing page of the forum to guide developers to the established procedures for showcasing privacy-focused or privacy-related projects. It can be as simple as pinning the About the Project Showcase category post to the front page and perhaps changing its title to emphasize that developers wanting to promote their projects should read this.
