Managing Wi-Fi Settings in GrapheneOS: Is Profile-Specific Control Possible?

Hello dear community,

I am a technology enthusiast and place a high value on security and data protection. I use GrapheneOS on a Google Pixel. I separate my private profile from my business profile in the same user space using the Shelter app.

I was wondering if it’s possible to completely disable Wi-Fi in the business profile so that only mobile data can be used in that profile, while the Wi-Fi remains enabled in the private profile.

I hope you can help me with whether this is possible.

Unfortunately what you are trying to achieve is not possible. While profiles are isolated, they share certain system-wide settings including Wi-Fi, Cellular and Bluetooth. If you could share more details about what it is you are trying to achieve, we might be able to help you further.

I would like to revoke the permission for the apps in my work profile to connect to Wi-Fi, allowing them to operate only via mobile data.

Thank you for your assistance!

As a workaround you could use RethinkDNS in the work profile to achieve that.
