Looking for a Privacy-Focused Simple & Minimalist Daily Activity Tracker

I’m looking for a way to track my daily activities for personal insights and self-awareness. I’m not interested in anything complex or with extensive social features – just a simple tool to log what I’m doing and when.

I’ve been considering manually logging things in a note-taking app, but I’m hoping there might be dedicated tools that offer a more streamlined experience.
Is there a privacy-focused daily activity trackers solution?

You could have a Bullet Journal or modified Bullet Journal going in any kind of note/text app.

Sounds like what I do - in Joplin syncing webdav to my email service to cross my devices.

Active development and great UX:

I use Loop Habit Tracker for tracking activities and notebook for journal. Tried standard notes, Joplin and obsidian too. Its simple to use notebook instead of apps.

I can’t find open source habit trackers with mood trackers.

You can use recommendations from here

Thanks for your suggestions.
Is there any option that I will be able to use on the android and on the computer and the data will sync?

It sounds great. Do you also wanna take notes or journal about your activities? Actually I use a note taking app notability for taking my notes, making to-do, and I really like to journal on this. And yes, you can use this app to track your activity manually. But if you want a dedicated activity tracker then you can use the todoist app. It gives you multiple options to make the section for various tasks such as project, personal, team, upcoming task, etc, and you can customize it as per your requirement.

Super Productivity is a good one if you are ok with it’s UI. It has some sync options as well.

You can checkout timeto.me. It can be as simple or as complex as you want and packs a lot of useful productivity features.

I personally use Simple Time Tracker, which has a local-only approach. In this app you can track how much time you spend on the tracked activities, with useful insights like graphs and statistics. The problem is that you have to manually track things, unless you send “commands” to the app which are specified in the app itself. You can use them with automation software like Tasker (which is proprietary and I have no idea how it works tbh) to automatically track things, like for example track your YouTube watch time if you open NewPipe, but that’s a feature I never tried before.

Also, if you track too many entries, the database will become larger and larger and if you switch to another phone or reinstall the app it may take a while to import everything, specially on low end devices. But this is not a pretty big deal.
