I am going to delete the account. Thanks for everyone that helped me, challenged me, informed me over the months and almost 2 years.

Recently, it seems I see less value here. Often, I find forums non-ideal in learning and sharing. It’s difficult to have constructive discussions, just because of the format. The anonymous nature, instant answers, smiley reactions and many other things make it unproductive.

Recently, I also found I just connected, and always wanted to answer every comment, which frankly isn’t that productive.

it’s a bit though to delete this account, but I believe it’s the right thing. If anyone wants to continue talking, you can contact me on Simple X (or by mail when the simple x link expires)

I will now focus on personal projects, many relating Privacy, so I might come out in the project showcase someday.

I will probably still contribute on Github, but I don’t see the point here. I would like the team to disable my account for now, so this post can stay up a few more days.

Best of luck in wherever your adventures take you.

May you have smooth sailing :waving_hand:t4:

I’m sad to see you go, but I understand (and can relate to) some of your motivations. You’ve contributed positively to the discourse here on the forum.

Best of luck with the personal projects. Do come back to share if/when you have something to showcase.

You can always go on stalker mode. Not everything has to be engaged (or read). Sometimes I really think a lot if there is something meaningful that I can add to the conversation or if I am just ranting. Oftentimes recently, it is just ranting so I refrain from posting.

Anyway, may you find what you are looking for out there.

Hopefully, we’ll see you again. Your answers were often helpful to the community.

This what I do. I used to post/reply much more frequently, but over time it felt like I wasn’t adding anything meaningful outside the occasional niche recommendation. For the last half year or so, I’ve been in heavy lurk mode (viewing the forum read-only and occasionally liking/voting on something).

When i was more active on this forum I did have several discussions with @Encounter5729 on various topics, and as others have said here they contributed positively to the discussions.

To Encounter: Good luck with whatever comes next. :waving_hand:

It’s the same deal for me. It’s why I only come here occasionally and post even less often. I probably won’t come back, one of these days.

We had some productive conversations, and I’m glad we had them. I think we both learned a few things.

See ya.

It’s been fun talking with you honestly!
I’ve been in the same boat lately, and people have likely noticed that I don’t respond as much and it is for a similar if not the same reason.

Good luck on your projects and everything, hopefully it comes with a bang!
