“potential to improve user experience across across a variety of advertiser verticals”

The language of surveillance capitalism is such a weird combination of bland-corporate-speak and 1984esque inversion of meaning.

I’m glad Google is so in tune with what users really want. All my friends and family have been demanding for years more invasive tracking for “an improved user experience across a variety of advertiser verticals” I’m glad Google is giving users what they truly want and deserve. Thanks Google <3

current and past location

well that seems a bit interesting. This could be an indication that we should be removing older Google accounts after all.

And how exactly is this a surprise? We live in a survelliance state after all.

It isn’t a surprise, per se, but rather an explicit confirmation of what the advertisers pay top dollar for.

The good news is, location history, Chrome Sync, YouTube watchlist, Android usage can all be toggled OFF.
