Is there a Chromium based privacy browser that allows greater than 10 synced devices?

I switch devices very often for work, whether it’s between desktops, laptops, phones, etc. I am constantly having to try out software on different operating systems, form factors…and I am running into a problem with Brave’s sync functionality. Not only is it pretty inconsistent with the devices that I do have connected to it (bookmarks failing to sync, etc.), it also has a 10 device limit, something that Firefox, Chrome, and Safari do not suffer from.

I can’t use Firefox however, due to how many issues I had with non-Chromium browsers not working at certain times (extremely important for somebody who is testing things out). Plus, there’s that ever present security vulnerability on Android.

I refuse to use Chrome, due to their war on adblock and their overall surveillance insanity.

I can’t use Safari, due to the fact that Apple only allows it on their devices.

So, I know that this goes outside of the recommendations on the site. I am extremely aware of this. I am curious if anybody has stumbled across a Chromium based browser that has a more stable sync than Brave that allows for more than 10 devices.

Do you sync history? Doing that consistently breaks my sync chain after a couple weeks.

I do sync history…history, settings, and bookmarks. Settings has never worked, not since day 1 of using Brave years and years ago. I’ll try disabling that and history. Bookmarks is all I care about.

Doesn’t solve the 10 device limit, but maybe it’ll help the misery of the existing ones.

You’ll have to create a new sync chain with history off.
Completely fixed any issues I had with sync. Maybe it works for you too.

I sync bookmarks with Brave across 4 devices. Brave doesn’t offer force sync option like firefox. Brave does the sync automatically and I have to wait till it syncs - few seconds or 10-15 minutes and at times it fails too.

Floccus bookmarks, self hosted Linkwarden or self hosted Nextcloud may suit your needs.

I got Linkwarden set up in minutes, and it’s far beyond my expectations. Thank you for suggesting it!

Happy New Year 2026!
I’m glad its helpful. Btw which one did you choose self hosted or linkwarden server?

Self hosted. Only issue I can see is that my breaker goes out occasionally during the summer when the AC kicks on, and takes my router with it, but I can be patient until I can get home and flip the switch. It breaks all my self hosted stuff, but it’s an inconvenience I have learned to live with.
