Depends, good for what exactly?

Brave to me looks like a shady company because of the BITS network they have.

Also, instead of running a firewall which occupies your VPN slot, I would recommend running an actual VPN then using the “Block all connections without VPN” and using VPN’s split tunneling to act as a firewall.

This way, you get privacy online as well.

I personally use Bromite and Firefox on my phone.

I’m not sure if you’re still active here and a lot has changed since you asked this question, but I’ve been looking at Brave’s firewall solution.

At first I thought Brave’s firewall only worked on the browser and not the entire DEVICE, but they claim it does protect the entire device:
