How unsafe/unadvisable is Aurora Store?

Hi everyone,

For a while now, an application I was using (non-open source) from the Play Store is no longer compatible with GOS.
Since Aurora Store no problems, the application installs and updates as it should, but I would like to know at what point installing and updating applications from this store is not recommended?
