Is there a clear fix for this?
Given the amount of attacks on browsers it’s absolutely essential for security that they are updated immediately whenever a new version becomes available. This is not something you should try to “fix”.

I agree.
However, when in the middle of doing something in FF, sometimes once it downloads the new update it will technically open a new tab and won’t continue working unless you restart your browser. That’s what pisses me off though cause it won’t even give you an option to postpone for a few minutes to an hour until you’re done.
