I’d like to partition my digital life via Private Space (Android 15) for better privacy. Is there any way to export app settings, even if a given app doesn’t natively support “Export settings”?
Like using the Files app, adb or Seedvault (GrapheneOS) to copy app data? I guess there might be difficulties without root.
Privacy-friendly configuration of Brave Browser alone feels like I need half an hour for it. In general it is a bit cumbersome to carry over apps to private space (might as well be relevant to user or work profiles).
Unfortunately this is not currently possible. I do wish we could install apps from the main profile to tge private space more easily aswell; but i get that for security reasons this really posible.
I think you mean privacy reasons. Otherwise there already would be a security issue in your main profile .
Worst-case scenario with privacy probably would be, that some app identifier is copied from main to private space, which connects identity to both profiles. Like Firefox creating a unique ID with some installation types.
But it would be great, if we had a choice our selves, to balance convenience and privacy.
