title says everything
Just use Firefox with Arkenfox, you aren’t meant to touch anything when using Mullvad Browser, except for switching between three security levels.
Not everything is the same, there are known issues (for example if you try to use cookie exceptions) and some caches won’t be flushed automatically on session close.
Please be aware disabling private browsing mode defeats the hide in the crowd protection model.
Although I don’t recommend doing this, it’s worth noting that it is still much better to do this than to do nothing.
Finally I want to acknowledge the pain to not have exceptions for cookies, and we are planning to do something to address it.
Hey, would uncheck “Always use private browsing mode” and check “Delete cookies and site data when closing Mullvad Browser” a reasonable move ?
I mean cookies would be allowed during the time the browser is open instead of the time the tab is open if I understand it well but the thing is that it is very useful to have a history of your searches !
Not exactly related to the topic, but one of the reason I love Mullvad browser is because it forces inprivate mode. Even microsoft edge can be forced inprivate using registry edit. I absolutely hate brave for the same reason since secret mode can’t be forced or set as default.
Given that privacy is usually highly valued by those who seek these browsers, I think it’s great that Mullvad has inprivate mode as the default.
