Why does a website know a user’s DNS resolver isn’t it enought for to use IP address alone to track analytics ?
It just adds another metric. I don’t get why it is exposed at all.
Services don’t inherently know what DNS you use.
They have to explicitly send your browser a unique domain and monitor on their end what server tries to resolve it from their authoritative server.

I thought that, the DNS leak test website showing my DNS server means every site knows my DNS and could easily profile me when DNS is different from ISP. But it seems, it is on-demand.
