Content Blocker Filter List Questions

I wasn’t able to find any definitive answer(s) online so thought I would attempt to crowdsource here.

In uBlock Origin one of the default list options if Fanboy - Anti-Facebook. This list has not been updated since 2021 and I’m wondering if there is any real benefit to using this list as a result? As an aside, I also use an AdGuard DNS profile with Hagezi Ultimate and avoid Meta apps like the plague so not sure the list is a huge benefit to me at this point.

Additionally, I use Brave as a Chromium option alongside Firefox and I’m wondering if the uBlock Origin “Block Outsider Intrusion into LAN” list is necessary as a custom filter list in Brave Shields? Combing through Brave’s documentation, it does not appear this list is included in their default Shield lists, but elsewhere one of their filter list maintainers has indicated most of that Block LAN list is included by default.

Considering the advice to avoid steering far from the default lists for fingerprinting purposes, is having these lists activated in their respective blockers doing more potential harm than good?

It is not enabled in uBlock Origin by default on either desktop or mobile web browsers, so I am inclined to believe it is not currently relevant.

Yes, from this GitHub pull request:

Brave’s equivalent filter list islocalhost-permission-allow-list.txt:

That depends on your threat model, use case(s) and workflow. The advice you are likely to be referring to is regarding AdBleed:
