Carbon Copy Cloner

Does anyone use Carbon Copy Cloner (link below) for backups? There are some advantages over Time Machine, so was going to use both (on different drives). However, when I went to download, you seem to have to agree to collection of data about your devices with no opt out. It’s also not Open Source. I think I’m answering my own question but would welcome the thoughts of people with much more knowledge and experience than me! Thank you!
