Best way to obtain and update Orbot?

I always obtained and updated Orbot through Guardian Project’s F-Droid repository, but I just noticed that the last update was 5 months ago, which is completely unacceptable.

I don’t know why they still publish Orbot on that repo if it’s outdated by 5 months; this is just outlandish.

Anyway, what’s the best way to obtain and update Orbot?

I just checked out the Play Store, and the last update there was on 2022-11-01. So it is obvious that I should get it from GitHub if I want to get it at all, because their posting of outdated versions on Guardian Project’s repo and Play Store is very alarming.
