Sorry for not being more specific. Basically a micropc (with preferable option to mount to the wall behind and attached to my TV) to play movies etc in place of things like the firestick that doesn’t support USB. Hope that clarifies. Apologies if im missing more.
My current TV OS can’t even use jellyfin, vlc, or other reputable players.
AH I see.. in that case, yes - you can do what you’re imagining. I don’t see a reason it would not work. You can also or instead get a mini PC, it already comes somewhat debloated but you can debloat it further with the many FOSS Windows tools available and set up your media player on it. Its also possible to install a high capacity SATA SSD for all your media.
With this kind of set up, you will also have flexibility. You can also set up an Apple TV or any other streaming device in the future if you change your mind.
