How is this making HME useless?

Just about every sketchy site will simply block private.icloud.com like how many already do with SimpleLogin

What do you mean by stocking up on HME?

They probably meant creating as many as blank hide my email adresses possible to use later.

I still don’t get what’s going to change that will make someone want to do that.

I think it is about they are getting rare

Why would they use it later when they’re claiming that it’s becoming useless lol

It’s becoming useless by moving onto a dedicated domain that everyone can just block. Old ones will keep being “@icloud.com” so obviously are not affected by this. You can pre-generate those now and use as needed in the future, when you wouldn’t be able to generate them. I don’t know what’s confusing about this.

Oh yes, I see what u mean now

Are HME aliases not free?

Although they are useful, it sucks that they a intrextricably tied to your ID.

It’s not free. You need iCloud+, which has a monthly fee.

Ah, I didn’t realize that. Now I know.

I see. I think you still get a few HME aliases when you have a free iCloud account though.
Even if I had a paid account, I would only use HME aliases with accounts that are linked to my identity, because Apple knows who you are. Addy has no idea who I am because I pay anonymously with cash.
