Hello,
I searched the forum but couldn’t find any recommendations for a good pdf editor.
I was using PDF Expert on iOS (freemium but was enough for me. Tho privacy-wise not sure about it tbh). but it’s not on Android.
I don’t have heavy editing needs just the usual highlighting, underlining, bookmarking, annotating, etc…
thank you

There are already multiple threads about this topic
Good morning,
I did an intense search but I couldn’t find anything related to PDF Readers.
I thought this question deserved its own thread because more and more books and documents are ONLY being made in an electronic format such as .PDF. Physical books are definitely on the way out and even when they’re an option to buy alongside the ebook version the physical books are MUCH more expensive even though the ebook version and the physical book contain the exact same text…
My number one concern …

Those two threads seem to refer to readers not editors. I have checked them already. There isn’t a dedicated question for editors.

Thanks @jerm . True thrse are similar threads. With regards to my topic, these discussions were in the end mostly focused on desktop.
I think for now there is just no great pdf annotator or editor for android. Very happy to stand corrected on this

I did use Xodo PDF in the past to edit my pdfs, it’s by no means private but if you use it like in GOS without network access you should be fine.
I’ve spent countless hours researching this same problem and this has been my best answer from everything I’ve read on GrapheneOS’ website and reviewers:
I know it’s not an editor but I thought it’d be helpful for you!
Did you consider using a secure PDF reader App and then copying the text from within the PDF and pasting into another App like the LibreOffice Suite?
I think the closest that you will find in Android might be Collabora .
The only feature that is supported is to add comments to PDF
Even using Graphene’s PDF viewer and copying out the text to another app would work.
