Alternatives to Eero extender

I’ve been using an Eero extender for the past several months. However, I got the following message yesterday on iOS settings:
Privacy Warning

This network is blocking encrypted

DNS traffic.

The names of websites and other servers your device accesses on this network may be monitored and recorded by other devices on this network.

This led me to begin worrying that Amazon might be collecting all my browsing data.

Do you know of any privacy concerns using Eero extenders? If there are, can you recommend a privacy friendly extender?

Just use OpenWrt on any 802.11s capable access points.

I’ve also had this (I don’t use any amazon hardware) and simply forgetting the network and reconnecting removed it
