Uncheck “Show Background Images”
Uncheck “Show Sponsored Images”

I disable those but I don’t see an issue it they are left on.

It’s more aesthetically appealing than anything. Also not as distracting.
If it doesn’t change anything privacy related it doesn’t need to be in the recommendation.

One thing that should also be disabled is “Allow website to store data”. Disable it and whitelist all the websites you need to stay logged in OR have some data stored.

No need to add extra unnecessary configurations to Brave, already has a ton to try to make it private.
Same reason why an adblocker improves privacy…
Tor Browser doesn’t come with an adblocker but is the most private browser available. I hope this stays that way, and if they choose to someday include that (for usability and convenience), then I hope that it will be uBO Lite.
