I think there’s a misunderstanding. If by “bundled subscription” you mean paying for multiple Proton services under a single subscription, there is only one option for individuals, and that is Proton Unlimited, which is their most expensive individual subscription. There is no bundle for those who just want to pay for 2 Proton services, such as Proton Pass Plus and Proton VPN Plus.
Moreover, and most importantly, Proton doesn’t allow multiple subscriptions under the same account. If I just want to pay for Proton Pass Plus and Proton Mail Plus under the same account, Proton won’t allow it. I know this because I’m in this exact situation and have been for years!
I had Proton Mail Plus for years, and when Proton Pass launched, I wanted to subscribe to Proton Pass Plus with my Proton Mail Plus account, but they wouldn’t let me. I had to create a second separate Proton account, which is very frustrating.
If you already pay for one Proton service, Proton will not allow you to pay for another service with the same account. They force you to choose between paying for a single product or paying for Proton Unlimited, which to me qualifies as both enshittification and a dark pattern.
It is only recently with the launch of Lumo that Proton has introduced add-ons, because they do not want to include Lumo in Proton Unlimited, nor do they want to increase the price of it. But add-ons are only for Lumo. Not for Proton Pass, Proton Mail, Proton VPN, Proton Drive, etc…
I didn’t realize that. Thank you for letting me know.
OMG, you’re right! I did not know that. I just tested it and this is fantastic news!
That being said, I would still appreciate the flexibility that Proton Pass offers in Addy. I love that Addy can create random male and female names for you, but I like to use gender neutral names to further protect my privacy. And I prefer to choose those names.
I truly appreciate this feature, but I would prefer that the random characters added by Addy be exclusively numbers, otherwise it looks weird.
All this is really cool, but I would still like the flexibility that Proton Pass offer on top of Addy’s current offering.
