Just to be sure, if I want install SecureBlue over my Fedora 41, it will erase all my data ? And I’d have to reinstall all my applications like RStudio, etc. ? And packages for Python too ?
Merry christmas @RoyalOughtness

Yes, I think. I was in the same case there is one week and I formated my computer (but it was also to completely remove windows). But maybe someone has a solution.
Fedora 41 Workstation or Fedora 41 Silverblue?
Workstation
You can’t install secureblue from workstation. You’ll have to install silverblue first
Then… does this process will erase everything ?
I’m asking this because installing Fedora 41 workstation was a pain in the ass : I'm about to install Fedora 41
I also have LUKS enabled, so it may be risky…
erase everything ?
Yes of course
What if my actual main partition is encrypted with LUKS ?
Going from workstation to silverblue means erasing and starting over. No way around it.
Okay.. do I have to disable/unencrypt all my LUKS partition before installing silverblue ?
@RoyalOughtness I’m asking you this because when I tried to install Fedora 41 over Windows, everything was broken because there was a bitlocker partition. I’m afraid it can be the same with this now
Wiping the disk will wipe the luks headers.
I have no idea about bitlocker. Sounds like it’s a pain by comparison.
