Hi! I recently got a used M2 Mac Pro from a friend, and I want to use it with linux. Since the primary distro for asahi is asahi-fedora, and I want a more secure desktop experience, so I started looking into secureblue.
To my knowledge, there is no way to switch from regular Fedora 44 workstation, which asahi linux uses, to Fedora Silverblue, (if there is please let me know), so I looked into alternatives. I saw a forum post from @RoyalOughtness talking about a project by @travier about an atomic version of fedora for asahi, which I could just rebase into secureblue. I don’t care if it’s very experimental and it wipes my drive or something, because I have nothing to lose.
The question is, if I install this, and it ends up working, and the owner of the repo stops maintaining it or something, is my security diminished? Will it stop receiving updates, or is this kind of just an install script and the asahi/fedora devs are the people that indirectly maintain it after?
Also, completely off topic, I would much rather use opensuse tumbleweed than non-secureblue fedora. Anyone have any experience with it on asahi? Thanks so much!
