Hello there. I hope I found the right sport for my question.
I have just registered, but have been a regular visitor to your site for some time now and would like to start by saying: Thank you! Thank you very much! Especially the page about data protection and the explanations (and differences) about anonymity, privacy etc. are true gold. I bow to you.
Now my question: I could translate the page into German, if desired?
Now my second question: can I use the information from you in a presentation about privacy? (Sure with credits etc)
The background to my questions: I lead the Digital Empowerment Project in Germany, which aims to educate marginalized groups about privacy and open source alternatives. We are funded and take no money for our consultations, they are completely free.
The project is still fresh (it has been running since the beginning of January and officially continues until the end of 2026 with the aim of continuing beyond that).
I am now collecting and creating a collection of information that is low-threshold and inclusive. This includes presentations for our workshops and consultations. Your content is very valuable and well structured, I would like to use it as a guide?
That means I would translate it into German (at the moment we are only working in German, we are only a small team and do not (yet) have the resources for a multilingual presence).
If I translate it anyway, I can just “return” the translation to you, and you would have a German page for this topic.
Tell me what you think! Best greetings from Hamburg, Germany
It seems to be a commercial product so I think you might want to contact PG Team in a more formal manner at team@privacyguides.org , you can verify their contact information from their about page, linked below:
