Streaming Platforms
Beginning this week, we are trialing Streamyard: You can join the link above when the stream starts to watch and chat in the livestream without an account.
We will also be streaming from the following platforms:
If all goes well, chats from all 6 platforms will be combined on our end and displayed on the stream, and we will try to respond to as many questions as we have time for, regardless of where they’re sent.
You could reach a billion more people if Privacy Guides made a WhatsApp business account and shared the same where you can provide daily (short) or weekly updates as you do on other social media.
A lot of the world lives on WhatsApp with every correspondence for personal and work alike and simply subscribing to your channel/account to receive updates could yield in a win to reach more people.
In China its WeChat but not worth doing it there but India, South East Asia, Latin America (and others) its WhatsApp. A huge chunk using the internet different and its mostly mobile first in some of these places. To be clear, I don’t mean WhatsApp Business account for live streaming but just to have a presence there for people to follow you on a platform they use most for updates and other news.
I only ask/share this because PG is now in more platforms trying to spread their message so this is something you may want to consider since you do have to go where people are, like how you are on TikTok and Kick. Anyways, hope you consider this.
Please cover and explain this new release from AdGuard in the live stream including differences from WireGuard if you are able. I’m sure many want to learn the same. Thank you!
If you were going to get a second phone number, how would you use both phone numbers? What expectations or limits would you set for each? How would you split accounts across the two phone numbers, for those accounts which use phone number verification?
Doesn’t this really come down to how you want to compartmentalize your OPSEC per your threat model? There is likely no wrong answer here unless one is completely undoing what they want to even with two numbers.
But I use multiple phone numbers. Real number is only known to immediate family, my financial institutions, and perhaps a couple of government accounts. And the other is for everything and everyone else. I use JMP.chat for the second one.
Thanks a ton for offering PeerTube as an option in the past! privacyguides@neat.tube stopped mirroring content seven weeks ago. Streaming from all those additional platforms, X, Twitch, TikTok, LinkedIn. It’s good to spread your reach. If you pursue Loops, will you please return to mirroring on PeerTube? I want to back the Fediverse and cut down on my Big Tech dependence.
I know nothing about Streamyard, yet another protocol? I’m sick of Youtube needing me to signin to watch a video when using Tubular (like newpipe). Youtube is always looking to break the bleed. where are the peertube links? I’m about to set up a Friendica instance with resistance to censorship and corporate oversight. Why Friendica? it allows way more decentralized protocols than anyother platform. just saying…
