What happened to Bitwarden's F-Droid Repo Link?

I get a 404 site not found when I go to https://mobileapp.bitwarden.com/fdroid/

If there’s an alternate link, I can’t find it.

I’m not sure how long this error page has been around, but what I’ve found through search has to do with Bitwarden’s framework, Xamarin [1] [2]

You can alternatively find Bitwarden’s download here:

Thank you. I don’t know how long this issue has persisted, but I see I am one version behind (2024.5.1) the most current version (2024.6.0).

This is a rather serious flaw with using F-Droid repositories if the repository becomes unavailable and F-Droid never notifies its users. I also see that IzzyOnDroid no longer has it either.

Looks like I’ll be using Obtanium to get it from Github and keep it up to date from now on.

It looks like it was done on purpose Delete CNAME · bitwarden/android@80ff991 · GitHub

If you really want to add it still use https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bitwarden/android/gh-pages/fdroid/repo

But they’re probably just migrating to another server or something.

Interesting… thanks. Maybe the repo will be back online soon.

Well as of today the repo is back up! Hopefully it remains that way…
