I just time myself manually.
40-80% on my laptop/mobile devices.

I have mine at 100%, but I use a framework so the battery is easy to swap.
Normally I would use 80%, I do on my pixel for example.
Really, you should charge between 20 - 40% to 80%, don’t get a charger that is stupidly fast, stick to the same watts / volts / amps the OEM does.
If you use something like a Dell Latitude or Lenovo (especially the old think pads), I wouldn’t worry too much, the batteries are usually easy to source and swap, latitudes can be swapped out in about 5 mins.
