Warning to Instagram Users

Some Telegram channel posted a video of them pulling the uncensored email and phone number of an account simply by typing the username and hitting login twice while leaving the password field empty. They claimed it only worked from a France IP.

I turned on my VPN and connected to the France location and I was able to see the full email address of someone I know.

Although some people are reporting it’s patched others are reporting switching devices, vpn locations, restarting phone is allowing it again. I’m no longer able to do it again after this first attempt. This is all very weird.

Appears to be patched now. Celebs/Officials that got tested on include:

Netanyahu (his social media adviser Topaz Luk was confirmed blocking people that msg’d his number on Telegram)

I tried to do this and they instantly banned me. Not using IG is the best solution.

I guess a custom domain could help or maybe a less common shared domain.
But overall yes, might just not be critical in the first place.
