Vanadium now supports passkeys without Google Play Services

Add support for using passkeys without Play services via the Android 15 credential manager (not every passkey provider supports this)

Works fine with Bitwarden and Proton Pass. I’m not sure about other password managers.

Edit: it works with Proton Pass too.

For me it also works with Proton Pass.

Where and how?

I just saved the keypass for Github in ProtonPass using Vanadium 134.0.6998.108.

Works for me too.

Honestly I do hope that other chromium browsers on android like brave get this functionality, but otherwise man I should definitely consider replacing brave that’s on my focus profile with vanadium since it’s a degoogled profile, especially now that they have their own built-in content filtering thank goodness.
Still nice to know and thanks for that Lukas.

Nice !
Where is the news ?

Has anyone tried for Amazon? It doesn’t work for me, but it does for GitHub.

I’m wondering if I can also use Passkeys on GrapheneOS with Vanadium somehow if I’m a Keepass user. Has somebody tried that?
