Vanadium (GrapheneOS Web Browser)

Is it really not relevant for most people?

Regardless of browser, JITs are a hazard and should be disabled regardless.

We’re early in the process of implementing content blocking for Vanadium. We’ll work on improving it from the initial basic implementation over time after that’s shipped. The initial implementation will hopefully be available within a few months. For now, you can still use local DNS-based adblocking across apps via tools like RethinkDNS.

In the end, should we use Vanadium in GrapheneOS?

What we decided? What are the two browsers that we should be running on it?

I don’t see any reason not to and in fact I do myself with a DoH provider.

I agree. It’s a good, clean browser.

And “Forger me when I close this tab” is a very great feature

Should I use mulch or bromite ? for daily usage ?

@masdonte
Bromite is dead.
If you have Vanadium you shouldn’t use Mulch.

I’m using Mull as daily browser, but when I want to do a quick research, I’m using bromite.

I was talking about cromite, my bad*.

Would you recommend Mull over Vanadium?

@exaCORE
yes of course, my Mull and Tor Browser are the only ones I do recommend as is documented on the above table.

Man, looking at your site makes me scratch my head. Mull is so close to being perfect it almost hurts.

I’ve been using Cromite lately though. May I ask what differentiates their anti-fingerprinting from the anti-fingerprinting in, let’s say, Brave?

I’ll follow the pack. I got a Pixel last week and flashed GrapheneOS.

I like to have a second browser in case I have some trouble with the first one. Do you use an alternative browser? Such as Mullvad for Android. I was thinking on it since I will use Vanadium as a Chromium browser thought about getting Mullvad as a Gecko browser instead of going with Brave as another Chromium browser.

@Cyber-Typhoon
Mullvad Browser is not available on Android.

My Mull Browser has zero relation to Mullvad and predates Mullvad Browser by many years.

Oh! Thanks, sorry for the confusion. What would be your second recommendation as a secondary browser for Mull in Android? I see Tor marked in your table but how realistic is it? Can it be used without getting blocked in many websites?

Why isn’t Mull recommended on PG as a mobile browser anyways? Is it just the per-tab isolation thing?

ah thanks!
