Update on AI chat tools

Made a PR update!: Add Edge Gallery and PocketPal AI by I-I-IT · Pull Request #3083 · privacyguides/privacyguides.org · GitHub

AI chat can now be used on phone, still run locally. This therefore adds two new local AI clients: Edge Gallery GitHub - google-ai-edge/gallery: A gallery that showcases on-device ML/GenAI use cases and allows people to try and use models locally. and PocketPal github[dot]com/a-ghorbani/pocketpal-ai

Feedback needed

In addition to feedback on the two clients listed above, feedback for iOS clients would be nice. There is MLChat, which works terribly on Android, but who knows it might work well on iOS. There are also other options in this list, but I don´t know how well they work and if all are private and/or local. Reddit - The heart of the internet

Note: I don´t have time to fix the PR if anything is broken regarding Linting or what have you.

we review each listing individually. This would become one messy discussion not going to get to any conclusions. You can recommend each tool separately. Please do look for existing discussions tho (many already have a discussion thread on the forum)

I changed an existing General thread on PocketPal to a Site Development > Tool Suggestions thread and unified most discussions of the tool to the thread:

PocketPal (Mobile App that Runs AI Locally)

I just found GitHub - a-ghorbani/pocketpal-ai: An app that brings language models directly to your phone. It is available on Android and iOS and allows you to run small LLMs from Meta, Google, Alibaba, etc. On my Pixel 9, it worked really well. I am looking to see how it runs on other devices !

Feel free to create other Site Development > Tool Suggestions threads for other AI tools you want to propose for addition to the website.
