Wait till the kids learn about Tor. That’ll show the UK tech illiterate government officials.
Tor then becomes the next target (perhaps they would harass the operators of directory authorities?), and the cycle continues indefinitely, trying to close all loopholes… It’s not the brightest move, but it is consistent with the UK government’s approach. And Tor is a persistent thorn in the side of governments, so that provides the perfect excuse to control it under the cloak of upholding a law… This is the insidious nature of age verification laws.
